Author of Best-Selling Book

“When Death Comes Knocking for Your Patients”

As an accomplished oncology nurse, Meina J. Dubetz brings invaluable real-life experiences to the forefront in her best-selling book, “When Death Comes Knocking for Your Patients: A Guide for Nurses and Palliative Caregivers.” This transformative guide empowers nurses and palliative caregivers to enhance their care for terminally ill patients and their families. It provides practical advice on communication, comfort, and support during the most challenging times, while also underscoring the critical importance of self-care for caregivers.

Roger Woodruff, a co-founder of the International Association of Hospice and Palliative Care, honored “When Death Comes Knocking for Your Patients” as the book of the month in July 2018. He praised, “I liked this book because it was a no-holds-barred report, straight from the bedside trenches, of all the problems associated with death and dying in oncology and palliative care. That is combined with a lot of experienced advice about how to best deal with those problems and care for yourself at the same time.”
